INCASE DEV TEAM EXCITED ABOUT WHAT APPLE IS RELEASING TO HELP LAW FIRMS!

Apple have brought out lots of exciting technical changes that will empower our developers to become more creative and efficient at the same time.

Here at inCase, our developers are constantly evaluating what is coming out from Apple and Google when it comes to smartphones. That feeds into building robust and secure new features.

However, what is also important in our team is how we can improve our development techniques with the latest equipment. A good example is the new processor to be released in the MacBook – the ARM Chip.

This new processor will allow Apple software to be more compatible across various devices, particularly between iOS and the MacBook. For example, our developers will be able to build and test on devices without the need for an ‘emulator’ (allows one computer system to behave like another). This will mean faster development and production time getting updates or new features to end users.

Apple also announced at WWDC 2020 that they will be adding a number of new features to iOS14. You will probably already have heard about ‘Widgets’ on the home screen, picture in picture and a new Siri.

What our developers are excited about is App Clips. This will allow a user to experience the app without downloading or installing the whole app. Android have something similar called ‘Instant Apps’. App Clips will allow reduced functionality but gives our developers greater opportunity to deliver key elements of the app to the end user. It will force our developers to really focus on crucial features of inCase but also adds a new marketing dimension for our law firms using it.
